• Seniors – tomorrow’s ABC Countdown is Blackout Day.


    • Summer School registration forms are available in the main office.


    • #SWARMITFORWARD is a "Pay it Forward" day where students, staff, and community members will volunteer to better the Zion-Benton Community.  This year it will take place on Tuesday, April 24, from 3-5 pm. There will be a celebration party with snacks and music afterward from 5-6 pm at Shiloh Park.  Swarm it forward T-shirts will be on sale on Monday for the Swarm it Forward event on April 24th. Last year's event was a big success, so we’re doing it again!


    • Congratulations to the ZB Rifle Team - This past weekend the ZB Rifle team competed in the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Regionals at Camp Perry Ohio and placed 1st and 3rd and 7th out of 17 teams.


    • Encore Players present The Idiot’s Guide to High School April 19 – 21 at 7:30PM at Pearce Theatre. Twists, turns, surprises and laughs about in this final performance on our Pearce Campus Stage – don’t miss it. This comedy is sure to please audiences of all ages! The house opens at 7PM and tickets are available at the door. $8 for adults; $6 for students and senior citizens.


    • Prom time is here! Prom will be on Saturday, May 12th from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Gurnee.  The theme is Under the Stars and the colors are blue and silver.  Tickets cost $50, cash only, and will be on sale at the New Tech bookstore until Friday, April 27th.  All fees must be paid to purchase a ticket.


    • On Saturday, April 28, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the Zion-Benton Public Library will be hosting the 4th Annual Authors After Hours Book Festival. Authors After Hours connects kids, teens, and adults to published authors.  Nine authors will be speaking this year.  This event is free to attend!


    • Calling all New Tech performers. Can you sing, rap, or dance? Come participate in New Tech's first music video. Our next meeting will be Thursday, April 26th @ 2:30 in the media center. Be sure to sign up in the Media Center by the end of this week.  See you there! 


    • Underclassmen are invited to audition to sing the National Anthem or vocal selection for graduation during advisory on April 24th. Stop by the main office to pick up an audition form.


    • Come give cheerleading a try! Open gym is on April 26th from 3:30-5:30PM at Pearce Campus. This is an informal time to work on skills with other cheerleaders and get information about tryouts and camps. No experience necessary. Come out and bring a friend!


    • Remember to keep those hats off, IDs on, and have a great New Tech day!
