• The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) recommends school Districts return to traditional grading policies for the 2020-2021 school year, but it advises that school Districts make modifications to ensure students have the tools and support necessary to complete required work. Grading policies for the school year have been finalized and have been communicated via each teacher’s course syllabus and course page. Students will continue to have opportunities to reassess, and teachers will continue to provide flexible due dates for work, ensuring grades ultimately measure what students know and are able to do, but traditional grading policies have resumed and will continue through the end of second semester, culminating in the assignment of a letter grade at the end of semester two.
