    Call4Calm - State of Illinois

    Allows Illinois residents to talk to a mental health professional, free of charge, during the COVID-19 crisis.

    • Text the word “TALK” to 552020 (use keywords such as “unemployment” for other help)
    • Text the word “HABLAR” to 552020 for Spanish supports
    • Users receive an immediate text response with a mental health counselor responding via phone within 24 hours


    Text-a-Tip - Lake County of Illinois

    A 24/6 anonymous text-communication system for youth needing immediate mental health assistance for themselves or a friend. 

    • Must download “Lake County Help” app on phone
    • Send a message through app for immediate assistance
    • You can simply text “HELLO” to 1-844-823-5323 to get started
    • You will receive a code that is unique to your community, then text the code and your message to 1-844-823-5323


    National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

    The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.


    Crisis Text Line

    Text to receive support at any time. A live, trained Crisis Counselor receives the text and responds, all from our secure online platform. The volunteer Crisis Counselor will help you move from a hot moment to a cool moment.
