• NTZB Internship Program

Are you looking to gain a more in-depth understanding of a potential future career? Do you want to develop desirable works skills, and increase yourmarketability for college and future employment? Then take advantage of the NTZB Internship Program starting next semester.

Eligible Juniors will be given the opportunity to experience firsthand the realities of the workplace by completing a 50-hour internship.Students with internships will have the ability to be dismissed from Advisory in order to accommodate their work schedule and will receive 1/2 a school credit for fully completing the program.

WHAT: Unlike a part-time job or volunteer work, internships include learning objectives. Internships prepare students for future employment through valuable “hands-on” career experiences aligned with their career goals and learning objectives that they will set before the internship. Interns will have a site supervisor who assigns specific tasks, evaluates overall work, and provide guidance and support. The Internship Coordinator (Mr. Catalano) will also work with each intern during the program to ensure learning objectives are being met and act as the point of contact for any questions or concerns.

From this experience, students will gain new skills and training, as well as a professional career portfolio. Most importantly, they will walk away with a better understanding of their future, with the confidence and motivation to pursue their dreams.
