Athletic Training

  • District 126 employs Certified Athletic Trainers to ensure the safety and appropriate care of our athletes.  

    Certified Athletic Trainers are healthcare professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity and participation of patients and clients. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis and intervention of emergency, acute and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations and disabilities. Athletic Training is recognized by the American Medical Association (AMA) as a healthcare profession.

    Parents/guardians are encouraged to contact a District 126 athletic trainer with any questions they may have regarding their athlete's physical well-being and/or District policies regarding injury management and return to play requirements.
