Seniors, this year we are excited to announce a new tradition for your graduation. With the district no longer participating in the valedictorian/salutatorian model, we will be auditioning eligible seniors who are interested in giving a speech during the graduation ceremony. The speech should be original and last between 3 to 5 minutes. In order to qualify, seniors must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, been active in at least one activity or extra-curricular for multiple years and have no current discipline or attendance issues. To submit a speech for consideration, please submit a draft to Mrs. Carter in the main office by 3 p.m. on May 10th. Finalists will then be interviewed by a panel of judges and asked to recite a portion of their speech. The final speech to be performed at the graduation will be subject to editing by the panel and the student selected must read their speech exactly as it was approved.
Senior week lunch tickets are on sale in the bookstore. Get three days of lunch for only $10. This year lunches are from Droopy’s, Culvers, and Domino’s.
