Announcements

    • New Tech Healthy YOUth is sponsoring their annual Santa’s Showcase on Saturday, December 10, from 9:00am-12:00pm, at New Tech.  There will be games and crafts for kids to do and pictures with Santa.  So stop by to help support Healthy YOUth.   
    • Holiday Spirit Week is next week! See the flyers posted around school and show your spirit!  Your house may win the Spirit Trophy!  Monday is Bright Lights Monday.  Seniors wear blue, juniors white, sophomores green, and freshmen red. 
    • Feeling jolly this holiday season?! If so, consider donating a new and unwrapped toy to Toys for Tots and earn 10 points extra credit for your donation. Bring your toy to the NHS table in the cafeteria in the morning from December 5th to 16th. 
    • National Louis University will have a rep at New Tech on Tuesday, December 13th during 8th period. Popular Programs and Majors include Elementary Education, Curriculum & Instruction, and Management Science. Lincoln College will have a rep at New Tech on Wednesday, December 14th during lunch.  Lincoln College offers 2 Year Programs in General Studies, Pre-Nursing and 4 Year Programs in Business, Criminal Justice, Sports Management, and Theatre.  Sign up in the main office if you are interested in either event. 
    • Harry Potter Club T-shirts are now for sale for $12 in the bookstore.  
    • Interested in playing baseball this year? There will be baseball open gyms throughout the winter season from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Fieldhouse. If you have any questions, please see Coach Schiappacasse or Coach DeCaprio.  
    • Open Weight Room - The weight room will be open to all students after school on December 8th, 12th, 13th, and 15th from 2:45 till 3:50 p.m. You can also find a calendar posted in the weight room. 
    • Football open weight lifting will be Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. while school is in session from now until the end of second semester. While on WINTER break: Dec 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29 9:00 a.m. until 11:00a.m. 
    • Yearbooks can still be ordered. See Ms. Jackson in the bookstore. 
    • Global Swarming: The bees are getting ready to take flight again! Spend your Spring Break, 2018 touring Germany, France, Switzerland, and Austria. If interested, please plan on attending the first Europe trip meeting on Wednesday, December 14, from 6-7:30pm in the ZB Lecture Hall. RSVP your attendance at the meeting by filling out a form available from the main office. We will cover the intricacies of group travel, the proposed itinerary, and costs involved with the trip. If you cannot attend, contact Mrs. Rymer or Ms. Hauptmann at ZB for paperwork starting December 15. 
    • Remember to keep those ID’s on, your coats and backpacks in your lockers and have a great New Tech day!
