DRILL TEAM

The NJROTC Drill Team is a competitive marching team currently made up of 55 members.Thed Drill Team has both varsity and Junior Varsity teams that compete throughout the school year. They have enetered several meets and had finished in the top three in eery competition against ten to twenty teams, winning three times.

Drill team is made up the following five different teams:

1. Unarmed Basic Dril (IDR) - team drills following a card of commands that are called out to them by their leader
2. Armed Basic Drill (IDR) - team drills following a card of commands called out to them by their leader while carrying rifles
3. Unarmed Exhibitions - team drills follwing the routines they created (free marching)
4. Armed Exhibitions - team drills following the routine they created while handling rifles (free marching)
5. Color Gurad - 4-5 person team, 2 people hold rifles, and the other 203 people hol and present flags. Drill following commands they cal out.

Requirements of Drill Team:
1. Must be willing to wear the unifrom correctly
2. Must have and show respet
3. Must be willing to wrok hard and be energetic while working with others
4. Be able to participate in practice 3 days out of the week & 2, 6am practies

Practices are sessions before or after school where the team assembles and drills. Typical Drill practices are held after school on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3-5pm. Tuesdays & Thursdays are morning Drill practices meeting at 6am.

Color Guard practices are held on Wednesdays form 3-4pm
