ZB ROTC ACADEMIC TEAM The Zion-Benton Academic team comeptes with other schools by taking multiple answer tests on Scantron scoring sheets. Tests are made up by the school that is hosting the competition. Tests can be made up about any aspect of Naval History or current news and events. The Academic Team normally participates in at least 5 competitions during the year, normally travelling with the Drill Team. They also particpate in Postal Competitions, where they take their tests and mail them to the hosting school who grades them. During these competitions the Academic Team is split up into groups of 5. The cadet who scores the highest in their group earns a medal. Practice sessions meet typically on every firdayon one of the NJROTC classrooms. These practices normally go until 4pm. During these practices the commander delegates study materials to the students through his aides. NJROTC cadets insterested in joining Academic Team can join by displaying interest to the Commander during class, advisory, or homeroom. |
